Family

When Sue married Doug, Greg got another brother, someone who supported his sister and became a good mate.

Sue had two children Scott and Melissa. Greg was both their uncle and Godfather. Scott brought so much fun and laughter into Greg’s life taking him to parties and clubs. He used to laugh and say "One night out with Scott takes me a week to recover". Greg took his God fathering skills seriously and was always concerned about Scott’s religious upbringing and he always claimed he’d done his duty by taking Scott to see Jesus Christ Superstar.

Melissa was the apple of his eye. Greg used to look forward to school holidays when Melissa would spend most of her time at her grandparent’s place where Greg would delight in reading, playing and talking to her.

Greg’s health finally deteriorated to the stage that he needed a transplant while waiting for this his family were a tower of support taking him in twice a week for treatment at St Vincent’s hospital, encouraging him and loving him.
